It is with great honor that I have been elected as Mississippi’s 62nd Speaker of the House. I want to thank the House of Representatives for placing this enormous trust in me. I look forward to working with all of you for the betterment of Mississippi.

- Proud Dad moment today. Our oldest @saraburdenw got official notice that she has been accepted into Mississippi’s Rural Physicians Scholarship Program at UMMC. Our MSU Bulldog has worked mighty hard and managed to work in a little Chi-O fun along the way.
- Proud dad tonight! John has committed to play football for Southern Miss. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity to play for his home state. Coach Will Hall is building something special and his attitude and enthusiasm is contagious. #AttitudeIsEverything #SMTTT
