If your train line is winning one of the most prestigious architectural prizes in the world you’ve probably spending too much money on building it.

This from the Met is mind boggling. Thousands of robbery victims have given the Met the precise location of their stolen device thanks to inbuilt GPS, but the response is always the same: “nothing we can do, here’s a crime number.”
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley and @MayorofLondon have called on the mobile phone industry to play their part to help tackle the rising number of robberies in the capital. Figures show that mobile phone crime is driving the rise in robberies and thefts in the capital.

100% this. The people watching election results come in at 2am don’t want chit-chat.
I would pay money to watch an old school election broadcast. Two psephologists around the main table, focus on the results, don’t miss a declaration. These days it just feels so dumbed down

Great to see @rcolvile include in his latest @thetimes column our research on why building nuclear plants in Britain is more expensive than almost anywhere else in the world.

HS2 is the world’s most expensive railway under construction and will do little to boost growth around the country. Govt would get substantially more bang for its buck if it focused on cutting down regional commuter times.

For years I worked alongside @BenHouchen and saw first hand the blood, sweat and tears he poured into the redevelopment of the @TeesworksUK site. This commitment to the region has resulted in £2bn in private investment, over 2,700 jobs and a return in return of community pride.

Fantastic to be flying out of @TeesAirport to Aberdeen for the first time on @BritainRemade business. The airport is hugely important to the local economy, and if it wasn’t for @BenHouchen it would have been closed years ago and turned into a housing development.

Rachael all you do is talk York down, as a father of a 2 yr old, I can tell you that York IS family friendly.
