- 3rd time in 5 months I’ve travelled to London by train. 3rd time I’ve had to do this. We don’t need HS2, we need proper investment in the current rail network. Thank you @AvantiWestCost
- Unfortunately I can’t co-present @BBCSpringwatch this year. I had a stent inserted in April, which released a clot, that, this week, caused an embolysm! My demise has been greatly exaggerated; thanks to brilliant friends, wonderful family & the excellent @NHS. Go Megan & team SW!

- Lots of criticism on twitter for councils cutting flower-rich verges, and rightly so. Hats off to @PowysCC for letting our local verges grow despite opposition from the ‘tidy brigade’. Meadowsweet, yarrow, birdsfoot trefoil, meadow brown & ringlet aplenty. More of this please
