You can still contact your GP, 111 online or call 111 for help. If you are told to go to hospital, you must go. We’ll give you the care you need. #HelpUsHelpYounhs.uk
On 5 July 1948, I came into work with my shiny shoes and 12p in my pocket. We couldn’t believe that healthcare was free, I remember my mam paying the doctor before he would even look at you. It was a joy to know that from that historic day onwards, money wasn't an issue #NHS70
Today, I was able to ‘walk’ properly with a device called a Pam Aim (unsure of spelling). I can’t describe the feeling! I’m sure the big grin in the pictures say it all!
Shall we take this opportunity to tell @Jeremy_Hunt that the NHS is still running even though it's a bank holiday? Radiographers (like A and E and wards) work 24/7 for emergency scans and imaging. Our role is vital for patients.
As I come towards the end of my time on this account I wanted to let everyone know that I have really enjoyed this week - thank you for having me @NHS. I have written a few words to leave you with which I hope you will have a chance to read
#HelloMyNameIs Ethel, I'm delighted to be taking over the @NHS account today.
I was a cadet nurse on the first day of the NHS on 5 July 1948.
I remember my first day, I had on clean pressed white overalls and very shiny shoes.

Have u ever thought as u enter a room of colleagues.... I am not clever enough to be in here? That is probably the imposter syndrome & the #NHS is full of people with it. I say embrace your inner imposter, & remember no one knows everything - even people who think they do!
For those asking for a picture of Joshua now here he is a year on with the picture we were given that lives above his bed. Most people never get to meet their heroes, I gave birth to mine! Thanks for listening to his story we’re off for a cuddle😊 #fighter#theboywholived
I am so proud to have launched one of the first breast cancer screening mobile buses in Liverpool, 40 years ago in 1978. That old crate isn’t much to look at but I knew as a radiographer, we could treat breast cancer if caught early. We trundled that old crate all over Liverpool!
