    #HoCoPolice is asking for the public's help to locate #ECFlood missing person, Eddison Hermond, 39, of Severn. Hermond is described as a black male, 5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Anybody with information is asked to please call 911. #HoCoMD #EllicottCityMD

    #ECFlood MISSING PERSON: #HoCoPolice are continuing the search for Eddison Hermond, 39, of Severn, last seen at appx. 5:20 p.m. Sunday in the area of La Palapa. Officials have confirmed that the attached photo is Hermond. Call 911 with any information.

    Ellicott City's Main Street is suffering flooding on the scale of the July 30, 2016 storm. Please avoid the area. Our emergency operations center is open and we are responding to the emergency.

    Update on Main Street Ellicott City: The water did NOT breach the channel. Main Street is reopening. Based on guidance from @NWS we expect steady rain for the next hour or so, we expect the channel has the capacity to handle the rainfall. Please closely monitor conditions.

    HISTORIC #EllicottCityMD: Pls seek HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for Historic Ellicott City til 8:45 pm, 8/12. Tone Alert System has been activated & has sounded numerous times & will continue to sound periodically thruout warning period.

    This afternoon, Geoff and Mark Haver of Ellicott City recovered the frame and part of the face of the iconic clock in the Patapsco River. This clock was installed last July to replace the clock that had been swept away -- and recovered -- in the 2016 flood. #ECFlood #ECStrong

    It is w/ deep sadness & a heavy heart #HoCoMD, that we share the news of the untimely passing of @HCDFRS Firefighter Nathan Flynn. A 13-year veteran, Nathan died this morning as a result of injuries suffered while battling a 7-alarm fire in Clarksville.

    A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Howard County. Residents of historic Ellicott City are urged to seek higher ground immediately. Motorists should avoid driving through and standing, rising or rushing waters.

    .@HoCoGovExec signs EO (bit.ly/3eiJp7h) requiring masks be worn indoors in all #HoCoMD businesses & facilities open to the public, as well as public transportation, effective this Sunday, 12/26, 5 pm. CE's decision came in consultation w/ local health & business leaders.
