Stanford has the best culture of any private university in the United States. This is true across all schools at Stanford - not just undergrad.

The results are back .... AND I AM VERY GLAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE WATER FOUNTAINS @ MCNAIR ARE APPROVED FOR DRINKING USE! All but two fountains (isolated fountains - problem TBD) were approved by Tectonics and can be returned to service :)

@bubble is such a powerful tool. I had a user reach out to me with a bug they spotted at 1:00pm. By 1:15pm, the bug was fixed, reasonably-tested, and made live - all using bubble.

Images of the installed filters. Post testing is being conducted today and tmmr. Samples will be sent to a lab with no conflicting interests and final results should be back in a week or two.

Something I've organized at McNair and approved by adminstration. All are invited to join us in support tmmr at 11am outside McNair.

You rather renovate an existing plaza in a financially well-off part of the city instead of building a new plaza in other underserved parts of the city. Downtowners aren't the only ones that enjoy eating outdoors and taking a stroll without having to worry about cars!!!!

Great progress and we’re almost there!!! There was a small problem with the drains that prevented the fountains from being opened up school wide but should be resolved soon.
It's been a long time coming, much further to go, but great news for PS 15 & McNair HS that now have running, potable water. JCT has been pressing on this issue publicly for the last 2 years, including securing district commitments last year from Supt. Walker & President Thomas.

The filters are being installed!! All that's left to do is post-testing :)

My thoughts re: McNair admissions process (set for discussion at board meeting this week) TLDR: stop using the psat for admissions because it unfairly benefits rich students! @StevenFulop @MussabAliJC @gina4boe @CivicParent @SolomonforJC

I was part of the team that installed and planned these bike lanes last summer as part of my internship with the jc division of traffic, transportation, and engineering! What I saw as a key problem with projects like these is while attempts are made at ....

Long overdue update: I recently had a meeting with Dr. Lyles, Ms. Ruane, and Mr. Tony Mohamed (head of JCPS facilities) and a pilot study of these filters has been approved by JCPS for all 10 of McNair's water fountains! Now we're waiting for the final go ahead from Tectonics!

Just confirmed - I'll be a speaker at the flagship @MarchForScience in NYC this year on Sat, May 4th! McNair will be returning this year with a larger delegation ready to protest. Any other @jcps_district schools/teachers interested in attending with their students please DM me!
