REMINDER TO ALL ACTORS & VOICE ACTORS: Read. Your. Contracts. I just received the contract from a client whom I have a session with in a few hours, and there's a point in it implying that they own my likeness and can use and SIMULATE my voice in ANY FUTURE PROJECTS! (1/2)- Replying to @HSE_VOI've reached out to them to remove this part of the contract & sign the NAVA Rider but wow guys... This is messed up. It's also sandwiched in-between a bunch of other stuff so it isn't immediately obvious.
- Replying to @HSE_VOUPDATE: They have signed the NAVA AI Rider and the recording session will proceed!! Being professional and considerate really pays off. So glad we got this worked out, and the client was very patient and helpful.
- Replying to @Purlz_Pretty much! It also states they can allow OTHERS to use/reproduce my voice as well. At least the language implies that...

- Replying to @baconelfOf course! But I don't have an agent right now, as do a lot of other actors and voice actors. We need to look out for ourselves 👀
- Replying to @brennanwn2 and @thebirdzuluYou just have to know the key words like my colleague mentioned. It's always "Machine learning", "simulating", "AI", "Reproducing", etc...
- Yes! The negotiations will resume soon I think.
- For real!! They didn't agree to remove the part but if they sign the NAVA AI Rider it'll override any conflicting language in the agreement.

- Y'all... I just negotiated a fair rate, and the client decided to pay all their voice actors the standard rate because I brought it to their attention! I FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT THIS ‼️
- To see my name in the credits of a feature film amongst such an incredibly talented cast... Simply indescribable! I could not be more grateful. #voiceactor
