- What a start to the day. On my way to Liverpool. Stopped at Huyton. Everyone initially gets on apart from one young girl all on her own. Wearing PJ bottoms, slippers and a Parker. She eventually mustered up some courage to speak to me.
- Replying to @Guard_AmosShe asked if there would be any police at @NetworkRailLIV I said I'm not sure. She said something about her being missing and it being complicated. Told her to get on. Took her to Liverpool and were met by @BTPMersey who took care of her.
- Right folks it serious post time. Here is what an @RMTunion guard is trained to do. It may look like our job is a simple one of walking up and down a train. Checking tickets, selling tickets and opening and closing doors. But, in fact our role is a lot more in depth
- Things that closing ticket offices WON'T do * WON'T make tickets cheaper * WON'T make the railway more accessible * WON'T make tickets simple * WON'T make staff easy 2 locate * WON'T make there be more staff at station #SaveTicketOffices

- Replying to @RishiSunak and @TelegraphAre you on the side of hard working Brits trying to live a normal life? Errrrrr no. Are you doing anything you promised to do? Errrrrr no. Do the right thing for once and call.a general election. I work full time and getting to the point where its eat or heat for me
- Stop using trainline. Buy your tickets direct from a TOC or even better. Buy from a ticket office or the guard on the train.
- So. Let's have a little recap on today's proceedings. I've had passengers on the wrong train, I've had 3 wheelchairs on. People asking for assistance with luggage etc. So if @Mark_J_Harper and @HuwMerriman get their way. What would happen? @RMTunion
- Now the @Mark_J_Harper @HuwMerriman here is a reason to keep the railway fully staffed. Now imagine this is your daughter. I've just had to deal with a young 15 year old girl at Morecambe who has been ditched by her mate after they came to see a friend of her mates
- Don't use trainline folks. Use a ticket office. There's no booking fees and you get expert advice
- Replying to @Guard_AmosThis is what the Torys want. @Mark_J_Harper and @HuwMerriman please look at what your plans will do. Passengers want ticket offices and conductors doing what we do. They want A FULLY STAFFED railway Hopes this helps folks
- Well I didn't expect to be involved in a fatality tonight. I've just got back to Wigan. I may or may not be in work tomorrow. If I'm not. It'll be radio silence for a few days
