Toitū Te Tiriti! First reading vote of the Treaty Principles Bill didn't go through because Te Pāti Māori MP Hana-Rawhiti Maipa-Clarke started a haka in the house. EPIC!
It brings a tear to my eye that at the post conference press conference we have a Minister (@PeeniHenare ) who can respond to a question in Te Reo by replying in Te Reo and the sign interpreter keeps on interpreting. Respect.
Wellington protesters have not had a great day today.
1. Threw faeces at police.
2. Contaminated Wellington beaches by dumping sewerage in drain.
3. Possibly infected 6 police officers with Covid.
4. Speaker caught on film advocating shoplifting in local shops.
What next?
I think that Aotearoa should unite and wish Jacinda and Clarke the best for their special day and thank her for seeing us through the Covid Pandemic so well.
I watched this today and I though "I wish we had a Prime Minister who had a sophisticated grasp of what is happening and a desire to make sure New Zealand has an independent foreign policy position".
Jacinda's basic and perhaps only weakness is that she is a gentle compassionate soul and all of the hate and attacks clearly got to her. We need to do politics better than this. #nzpol
This is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very bad timing for National.
