    ….Stripping gun rights of law-abiding citizens does not decrease crime rates. In fact, it leaves law abiding citizens more vulnerable and helpless against those who commit violent crimes.

    I’m proud to announce the highest graduation rate in NM history. The class of 2018 reached a record high of 73%. That’s a 10% improvement since 2011. Let’s stay committed to the high standards and meaningful reforms that are working for our kids and keep improving!

    We just posted the largest job growth in 12 years! We’ve worked to diversify our economy and I kept my promise not to raise taxes and instead we cut taxes and fees 61 times. Now we have a $2 billion budget surplus and our economic growth is leading the nation.

    I had the distinct honor and pleasure of hosting Justice Ginsburg for tea on one of her trips to New Mexico. While I disagreed with some of her legal opinions, she was a courageous woman and an intellectual pioneer of the law; a trailblazer and a fighter until the end.
