So Trump applies say 50% to 60% tariff on Chinese goods and China deflates their currency say 20%. Federal government collects more tax revenue. Americans buy less from China but prices from Chinese made goods go up only minimally. Elsewhere and USA manufacturing grows. Genius!

Clinical decisions should be made by clinicians. Doctors should treat patients. Health insurance companies should not be for-profit. Patient care before "shareholder value".

So let's assume they are "low paid" middlemen. It should therefore be an easy political step to convert all of the for-profit health insurance companies to nonprofit trusts with low paying boards at their helm (term limited) populated by experienced healthcare professionals.

American Society of Anesthesiologists, my recommendation is that Anthem BCBS plan is putting patients at risk and you have a moral obligation to drop Anthem immediately. Suspend all agreements with Anthem and issue a class action claim citing violation of Constitutional rights.

An economy based on gambling, eating high fat expensive meals, drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and "carrying on" as well as other bad behaviors is unsustainable. The U.S. does not need "Los Vegas" entertainment. The U.S. needs manufacturing, AI, SMRs and lots of R&D.
