- Never a more appropriate time to post this. ๐ @conorbradley03 might mix his metaphors, but he's some footballer. A very honest, down to earth fella too. ๐ค This was us chatting after another superb display for @NorthernIreland that you're now seeing at @LFC Lad's a star ๐
00:00 - The @OfficialDownGAA SFC just keeps on giving. Sensational stuff between @WarrenpointGAA & @ClonduffGAC tonight. Brilliant entertainment. Neither team deserved to lose. Some balls on Ross McGarry to hit this penalty after missing a free at the end of normal time. #Ping
00:00 - Took a minute off my 5k PB. 2.5 stone off since Xmas. Not ashamed to admit that at the beginning of 2020, I was all over the place physically & mentally. Amazing what a few changes & some discipline can do. Another stone to go Move more, eat properly & push yourself further ๐๐
- As a football fan, an Irish League fan and just a member of society, the sooner we all start looking out for one another a bit better, the sooner people can be helped. Football's governing bodies need to take the lead. Awful news tonight. Heartbreaking. RIP Jerry Thompson.
- Replying to @BBCMarkSimpsonAs a Northern Ireland fan who would love to see the Euros being played here, why would UEFA change their own rules just to suit us? They've been set in stone for tournament after tournament. We've missed the boat. Casement or not, we should have a stadium fit to host big games.
- Great occasion today at The Showgrounds. @OfficialBlues more clinical but we performed well. To those from both sides who want to be offended, go away. You aren't welcome. Our club don't need or want any hangers on. We're a family, cross-community club. @NewryCityAFC
- I'm really gutted that this is happening. Would like to thank everyone in the sporting world that has helped me personally over the last few weeks, particularly @ncr72 & @NewryCityAFC @ConnaireMcG & @thepointfc @AaronKernan @BennyCoulter82 @polie11 and @StevenMcD13 We'll be backSTATEMENT FROM THE EDITOR
- ๐จPERSONAL NEWS ๐จ So, as a few of you may already know, next week will be my last as Sports Editor of @newryreporter After 14+ years at the paper, it will be sad to leave this great current editorial team who produce a super paper each week. 1/4
- Listened to & read some crap about @NewryCityAFC today. Performance not good enough, but some people would do well to remember where the club has come from, where it currently is & the people who put it there. If you can't support in the bad times, don't support in the good. ๐ตโช
- So sad to learn of the passing of a great man today - Jimmy Davis. A giant of local sport in Newry, the glue that kept the Carnbane League together and the man who was my first mentor in Sports Journalism. Looked after me and was so kind and supportive always. Rest In Peace ๐
- While @OfficialDownGAA may have lost tonight, Paddy Tally and his coaches have them on the right path. Clear structure, serious work ethic and a young age profile with 13 Championship debutants this year. Things going in the right direction and the support is definitely there too
- Super night all round at @NewryCityAFC Great to get the first win, but even better to have little Ellen Treanor lead the team out. Such a lovely brave girl and family.
