    12 years ago I was asked to help coach 6-8 year olds as my first coaching experience and today I’ve received the @UEFA Pro Diploma. I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me on that journey not only for their advice but also the many laughs along the way.

    My daughter has been ill from Friday night an Asian Doctor refused to believe it was a simple infection against other opinions resulting in successful emergency surgery today so the next time I hear someone complaining of ‘foreigners taking our jobs’ get back to your cave.

    It’s my daughters 14th birthday today and she obviously couldn’t have a big party so the neighbours all came out to sing Happy Birthday to her. The one thing that is evident throughout all this is the brilliant community spirit....

    Disappointed with the result this weekend but as a father of four daughters the death of Lyra McKee has annoyed more than any football result could ever do. She has done more in her 29 years to impact positively than those who murdered her will ever do.

    Honestly couldn’t be prouder tonight the players left everything on the pitch and the magnificent @NewryCityAFC fans left everything in the stands. We go now and win a league title on Saturday. Best of luck to @BallymenaUnited in the final.

    I wouldn’t normally comment on opposing players but if Mark Sykes isn’t given a chance playing professional football across the water at some level there’s something badly wrong.
