Virginia Senate approves @GovernorVA's amendments to SB 739, requiring in-person school and parents' rights to opt out of mask mandates, with schools needing to comply by March 1. It heads to the House, where it is expected to pass tomorrow and be quickly signed by the Governor.

Teacher Union Head: It's "good news" that COVID cases are high so that kids can't unmask. In a recent FB post, the FEA Pres. celebrated Fairfax County's high COVID rates, which under FCPS's "roll back" plan would mean parents are denied any option to unmask their kids.

Governor Youngkin returned Senate Bill 739 to the legislature, asking them to approve an emergency clause, making the bill effective March 1. The bill mandates in person learning and returns masking decisions to parents.
