- 🔈 A message for Equity members We share the frustration of many members at new @SpotlightUK tiered membership. We recommend no @EquityUK member takes out ‘Premier membership’ until we understand the reasons for the change, & Council has discussed casting policy this November.
- 1/7 We are deeply concerned that Arts Council England’s new guidance for funded organisations will censure the freedom of expression of arts institutions and gag artists, especially those working in the activist or political space.
- ⚠️.CASTING WARNING ⚠️ Equity is aware of a film production asking performers to submit nude audition tapes. If you are approached by a production going by either 'The Power' or 'Lone Viking' and asked for nude tapes, do not engage and instead report the incident to Equity ASAP.
- An enormous win for our campaign to protect public service broadcasting and in the fight to save @Channel4. We will continue to fight against privatisation in all its forms and continue our campaign to co-operatise, regionalise and democratise these vital services.
