No one was hurt or killed when 1,000 tons of rock collapsed at East Beach yesterday. But it is extremely dangerous to be on or near cliffs when the wind is high and waves are strong. There is no minimum safe distance. Be wise: your life is not worth risking for a walk.

We’ve reduced the level of water on Currymoor by 20%, that’s 5 million tons of water. Tomorrow we anticipate moving the temporary pump intakes out into the deeper water so they continue to operate at maximum efficiency.

Our team has rescued nearly 3,000 fish stranded in a leat at St James Weir. Notably pike, roach, chub, salmon, trout and eel. The leat's water levels dropped after part of the weir washed away. The fish have been returned elsewhere to the River Exe.

🌊🚗Just one eggcup of water is enough to wreck your engine. Don’t drive through floodwater.

Gone - a weir that was impeding fish passage on River Dart near Holne. Working with @WestcountryRT, the landowner & Castleford Engineering we removed the weir, restoring river to its natural state, ensuring fish can access upstream habitats #teamwork Thank you everyone involved👋
