"You do not understand bomb seller! I am going into battle and I need your strongest bomb!"
"No, my bombs are too strong!"
A few days ago, I posted a brief statement of what I, as a conservative, seek to conserve. The first item on the list was what I regard as the foundational principle of all sound morality: the profound, inherent, and equal dignity of each and every member of the human family.
"How would you feel if you were the first person to mine ore in space?"
"What are you talking about, you can work in a mine right here on earth."
"But how would you feel if the mine weren't on earth?"
"But there are mines on earth."
1/ Comparing the white terrorist in Buffalo to the Black guy who ran over people at a parade in Waukesha or the Black guy who shot up the NYC subway is absurd. Nothing suggests the WI parade was targeted for racial reasons. Or the subway victims.
I myself can’t vote Republican after Jan 6, but I have lost the ability to vote for any Democrat who can’t take a stand against racism and bigotry no matter at whom it is directed. It’s becoming meaningless to play “lesser of evils” year after year with this madness. Good luck…
