- Opening pubs without selling alcohol is not “reopening” pubs at all. Selling alcohol in a safe environment is at the core of what we do. Despite our business model being stripped bare, the very core of what we do is now under attack. This has to stop.
- If media reports are correct the new tiering system is disastrous for #Pubs - especially our wet-led community Pubs. Our sector has been hung out to dry, the Gov must compensate Pubs for their lost trade or lose the great British Pub forever.
- Our trade has been decimated by the Gov announcements this week with over 3.2m cancellations. We are urgently asking the Treasury for a support package to see the sector through the winter. But please do support your local Pub and Brewer this Christmas 🍻🎄
- The pub is being singled out for exceptionally harsh and unjustified treatment and unless the Government changes course, huge portions of them will simply be gone forever. We wrote this letter to @BorisJohnson so he is clear this damage will be on his hands 👇

- Positive reports in @thetimes today suggesting Government may scrap the substantial meal rule when pubs reopen. We have been very outspoken about the damage of the rule on wet led pubs in particular & will continue to make the case for its removal when our pubs can reopen.
