    The snap election announcement has caused me 36 hrs of intense soul searching.   Whilst my heart tells me to stand again, there being so much unfinished business across local regeneration and national issues which are important to me, my head knows this to be impossible at this

    The #UK #Energy fiasco became serious last night. Wind providing just 2GW out of 45GW demand. Call went out for supply at any cost; at one point £5.50 per Kwh (usually consumers pay c£0.27 per Kwh) was paid to a gas powered station to turn on. Also one step away from demanding

    A huge supporter #CovidVaccine but opposed to #VaccinePassport & any mandation in a free society. It comes as no surprise that I’ll vote against these measures. Evidence not there to start down the lockdown road again. ‘Just in case’ isn’t good enough to destroy more jobs & lives

    Exactly a year ago, I had gone into #Septicshock & was put into an induced coma. Things were looking truly bleak for my survival. Heroic work by @NHSuk saved me, took off a few bits & patched me up. A year on I’m doing OK. I’ve learnt a lot about the #NHS, #Sepsis & provision

    On Thursday 28 September I was rushed into hospital with the potential for sepsis. This was indeed correct and I was placed into an induced coma with multiple organ failures. Treatment has been exemplary by all NHS staff and I can’t thank them enough. I am now on a slow road to
