- Kudos to @rozina_ali for this incredibly well reported, heart breaking story about the forced adoption of a 2-year-old, taken from her Afghan family by a US serviceman. A 2-year-old! It seems like a horrifying perversion of law.

- The bail reforms in the county that includes Houston "have resulted in a 13% increase in people released within the first 24 hours of a misdemeanor arrest and a 6% decrease in new prosecutions over the three years following arrest."
