I've built 4 game prototypes with @grok so far. I've always wanted to make games since young but I suck at coding, until... Grok happened.
I think I need to go lie down for a bit.
I took Grok 4 for a spin this weekend to build this game prototype.
I used SuperGrok Chat to generate the initial game prototype and then brought it over to Cursor to continue coding with Grok 4 MAX.
Grok 4 in Cursor is like a no-nonsense agent. Doesn't speak much, but
I believe that @grok can be a serious tool to build quality games. I've been pushing the limits of Grok 3 by having it code this retro Doom-inspired Gothic shooter from scratch.
It's just been less than 24 hours of work, and I think I got it to a pretty good shape.
It was able
This is insane. I've been trying to solve this persistent bug on iOS for a mobile game I'm building with @maxhertan
Tried o3 MAX, Claude Opus 4 MAX on Cursor multiple times and it couldn't solve this pesky bug where the audio doesn't resume when the iOS app goes out of focus.
Can't stop thinking about the art style @de5imulate created so I tried to create it in @threejs to see if I could achieve a similar look and feel. I think I got pretty close with some careful pixel art billboarding and lighting.
But there's some limitations to getting this
Working on a chill ocean diving game where you play as a stingray. @grok is my coding partner as always.
Tried to nail the look and feel first before adding more gameplay features. Let me know what you think!
I got these amazing character sprites from itchio by SmallScaleInt.
The character portrait and some minor elements were made with retrodiffusion.
And the map was generated with Midjourney!
Mini weekend vibe coding game project:
Made a 2.5D fighting game for my boys, turns out it it's a little too hard for them.๐
Pretty happy how it turned out though.
Another @grok WIP demo of the stingray chill ocean exploration game.
Took quite a few tries to get that jump out of the water, still not 100% there yet but pretty happy with the progress so far.
Grok 3 is amazing. I built this Vampire Survivors-like game with some iterative prompting and ai-generated pixel art by @PixelLabAI
Not a single line of code was written by me.
kudos to @ebbyamir @chaitualuru and the team at @xai. You guys cooked big time.
