I and my colleagues on the Council want the A's to stay in #Oakland. The City and A's are and should be in earnest & sensitive negotiations, and the parties should not be conducting those negotiations in the press or on social media. City will weigh all options to have A’s stay.
- Sharrows are fake bike lanes, and they provide NO safety protection or buffer. They should not be counted as bike lanes when cities are totaling up their bike lane miles. We need safe bicycle infrastructure as one of our elements of reducing VMTs. @BikeEastBay @walkoakbikeoak

For example, #ab854 (Lee) is reasonable reform of Ellis Act to prevent speculators from engaging in wholesale evictions of renters. Couldn’t get enough votes in Comm!

We need a bill—sponsored by the cities of #Oakland and #Berkeley—to give local jurisdictions authority to implement these smart solutions.
