JJ McCarthy was a 3 year starter for Nazareth Academy in Illinois and won a state title there. He left because Illinois wasn’t playing football in the fall because of Covid. Let’s not act like IMG developed him. He was already committed to Michigan before he left Illinois.
If your staff has to meet 6+ hours in high school together over the weekend you suck managing your time! There, I said it. Technology today makes it so easy to not have to do this.
It may come across as coach is lazy, but I hate long practices. In my experiences anything over 2 hours usually becomes extremely unproductive and then coaches get mad at the players when in all reality it’s our fault for dragging the practice on forever.
If my guys up front can beat the hell out of your guys up front I don’t care what their flying 10 number is or a 40 time. Don’t get me wrong, speed is important, but if the hogs are putting that work on your boys then the rest of it is irrelevant. Rant over.
