My full written testimony before the House subcommittee today:
"I have had a front-row seat in schools for the last decade, watching as progressives have waged damaging wars against merit, all in the name of equity."

I’m continually amazed, astounded, disgusted(?) that “I don’t want my child exposed to sexual content from other adults or strangers” is treated as a controversial position
You know who LOVES discipline in schools?
The other 29 kids in a classroom that aren’t throwing furniture or cussing out their teachers, want to learn, and want a break from the chaos of their misbehaving peers
My wife and I have committed to a no-screen childhood for my daughter so far and it has been the best parenting decision that I’ve made
Car rides, restaurants, church, wherever, no phones. We bring books. Coloring supplies. We rely on our own conversation or singing to engage
“Why are all the teachers quitting?!”
Behavior. It’s behavior.
No one who’s actually in a school with half a brain in their head needs to ask that question
Average yearly homeschooling costs: $700-$1800 per student
Average pub school cost: $10k-15k per student
Imagine.... Imagine if we allowed families to spend that money on education as they see fit. School choice now, folks.
A student said to me "transwomen are women," and I simply replied "no, they are not" and moved on with my lesson.
If a student asserted "2x6=13," we would correct their thinking, would we not?
Ma’am, your child isn’t misbehaving because he’s too smart and bored
I’ve had plenty of gifted kids who behaved just fine
He’s misbehaving because he’s never been told “no” at home and only ever treated as a wittle angel who can do no wrong
Teachers, if your preferred candidate loses tonight, it’s not your responsibility to lecture your students tomorrow about how fascism is coming to America
