    DMFD mourns the loss of Fire Engineer Brian Stoaks, who retired on Friday after 27 years of dedicated service and passed away on Sunday following his battle with cancer. Even on his most challenging days, Brian Stoaks was there for us and our community. (1/2)

    The women and men that respond to emergencies in our city are on pace to respond to over 30,000 calls for service in 2021. This breaks the previous record (set last year of 28,416). A big #ThankYou to all of those responders in our city!

    The DMFD mourns the loss of Fire Engineer Craig Kern, who suffered a sudden medical emergency while at home on Wednesday. A 32-year veteran of the Department, Craig was a true “gentle giant” who earned tremendous respect from those around through not words, but actions.

    1 sprinkler makes a HUGE difference. site of a 4 person fatality fire only a few years ago was the site of a #sprinklerSave today. Fire contained to room of origin until DMFD arrived & extinguished. After last fire, owner installed #fireSprinklers during the renovation @NFSAorg
