    It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Kobe Bryant and four others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. The aircraft went down in a remote field off Las Virgenes around 10:00 this morning. Nobody on the ground was hurt. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.

    Calabasas resident Jerry O’Connell was recognized for his assistance with an emergency in Calabasas. Last Summer, a food truck had caught on fire near the intersection of Las Virgenes Rd. and Mulholland Hwy. Mr. O’Connell pulled over to assist, removed propane tanks from nearby

    DeAnza Park at Las Virgenes and Lost Hills (3701 Lost Hills Rd.) in Calabasas has been designated as a site to leave flowers or pay respects to any victims of today’s helicopter crash. Grass area near the basketball courts. Please be respectful while visiting. Thank you.

    The Los Angeles County Sheriff has alerted us that they are evacuating all residences off Parkway Calabasas including The Oaks, Vista Point, Westridge, Calabasas Hills, Calabasas Park Estates, and the Estates at the Oaks. Please evacuate if you have not already.
