- When I start at the front gates of QUB I will walk past a british war memorial and Whitla Hall (named after a UUP MP), I’ll walk through the Lanyon (Named after a tory MP). I’ll look up at the old logo, with the crown over the harp, in a university called Queen’s. The anti-Semitic & anti-science remarks of one of Sinn Fein’s new TDs should trouble us all. This is not the kind of change we need #themaskslipsagain #notanormalparty- I have no issues with anyone wearing a poppy. I am directly descended from two First World War veterans - one who finished the war as a corporal - and a WW2 veteran. I choose not to wear one, and as I respect others choices, mine should be respected too, that’s it.
- The US land war planes at Shannon weekly. There is no establishment outcry. If the outcry over Russian military exercises is genuinely about neutrality and sovereignty, then we need to address both. Otherwise, this is just official Ireland dancing to a NATO tune.
