    The University condemns the threatening and abusive commentary towards Professor Colin Harvey. Please see the University's statement below.
    The statement reads: Following our statement released on 10 March, the University again outright condemns the threatening and abusive commentary towards Professor Colin Harvey. Earlier in the year, the University management made contact with the PSNI, who now have ongoing engagement with the University security team to ensure the safety and welfare of all our staff, and a member of the University Management team has ongoing contact with Professor Harvey. The University strongly supports freedom of thought and expression within a framework of respect for the rights of other persons. Academic Freedom is enshrined as a guiding principle in the University's Charter and Statute. The University fully supports the right of its academics to publish work and express academic opinion within this framework.

    We are aware that Palestinian students who have been offered places at the University via the Copty Scholarship are facing financial challenges. We have a solution in place that will be finalised imminently. If you would like to find out more, please read the full statement
    Full statement reads: We are aware that Palestinian students who have been offered places at the University via the Copty Scholarship are facing financial challenges. Queen’s has already extended the scholarship scheme for this year, and have proposals in place that will see an additional allocation of £7,000 of financial support per student for this academic year, only to support visa fees and travel.
