GIF- Just received a summons for jury duty from the court on which I served as a trial judge for 14 years before moving to the Michigan Court of Appeals. I REALLY hope I get picked for a jury. It would be a fascinating experience. Hope I can get through peremptory challenges!

- I did my civic duty today, serving on a jury that returned a unanimous verdict. The voir dire was odd because the first lawyer to question me had no idea about my background and seemed startled to hear it. But being a juror on a panel that worked well together was so inspiring!
