- Now that all '67 expansion teams have won the Cup ... up next, neither of the two '70 expansion teams have won it yet ... Buffalo and Vancouver. If both don't win in the next three years, one or both will break St. Louis' record for longest time before first Cup.
- How damn impressive was that of Quinnipiac -- to not just beat Ohio State, Michigan and Minnesota, but do it as dominantly as they did. Wow.
- stolen from elsewhere ... Tavares interviewed with 6 teams during free agency 2018 ... All 5 he didn't choose have made the Cup semis since then. Only Toronto, his pick, has not. #Isles
- Replying to @billjamesonlineThey fostered the conditions for his rise for decades.
- Starting to hear more and more that Cooley and Fantilli will both return to college hockey next season -- which would be pretty remarkable these days, and great for college hockey (not to mention their teams). Things always change of course, but that would be fun.
- You can forget Manchester ever getting another Regional, unless they ever get another full-time hockey tenant in there.
- VP Pence called Minnesota Duluth national title team the "high school champs" today during ceremony. There goes the Duluth vote.
- Quinnipiac coaches said they've used that set play a hundred times. Have had chances before, but never as good a one as that. The whole play worked to perfection from start to finish, including making Minnesota players bite the wrong way 3 different ways.
- Matthew Knies is a fantastic player -- he may turn out to be the best pro of all of them - who knows. Picking him over Lane Hutson and Jason Polin makes zero sense.
- Replying to @kingtalktime @ryanstruyk and @CNNYes, because with the flu, there's always overflow bodies being stuffed into refrigerated trucks and makeshift hospitals in the Javits Center... How clueless can someone be?
- Anyone with a brain understands there are things bigger than sports. But it's 100% OK to be sad about having the best time of year never happen, and to think about all the stories and opportunities and fun that will be missed.
- I realize Minnesota is ticked off at the penalty late in the 3rd ... but the PP had ended, the player got back in the play, both of QU's penalties were weak too ... and Minnesota was getting rolled the whole 3rd period. I don't think ultimately they can pin the loss on the minor.
- Let's give a huge shout out to @SCSUHUSKIES_MH coach Bob Motzko - a great guy and great coach who helmed Team USA to gold. #WJC2017
