- We were so honored to host the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in City Council today to recognize them for all of their incredible work. LA is for everyone.
- If approved, this could bring several opportunities for more efficient and sustainable travel options in CD13. We already opened the priority lane for the #2 bus on Alvarado, and we're excited to do the same across other busy corridors in our district!
- Our statement on the removal of the fence surrounding Echo Park Lake:
- On Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day today, we remember the 1.5 million victims of the 1915 genocide, and we also recognize the 150,000 indigenous Armenians displaced from their land since the 2020 Artsakh War.

- Over 70% of tenants in LA are rent-burdened, meaning they spend more than 30% of their income on rent. Almost half of tenants spend over 50% of their income on rent. We need publicly-funded affordable housing, and thanks to Measure ULA, we can make that happen.
- Did you know that City Hall has a free public observation deck with some of the best views in all of LA? Check it out!
00:00 - Yesterday, we had a great meeting with the President of @TeamLocal399, Lindsay Dougherty. Local 399 is a union of 6,000 workers in the film industry who are absolutely essential to making Hollywood run – from warehouse workers, to drivers, to couriers, to casting and more.
- Today’s Council recap covers three important events from the week: ⛺️ Our new CD13 homelessness team! 🚧 Announcing the takedown of the Echo Park Lake fence 🗣️ Language Justice for important City documents and information, including almost 20 Indigenous languages!
00:00 - Today, City Council approved a measure led by @cd4losangeles that would delay a huge fee increase facing street vendors while the city determines a fair fee schedule. This will give relief to countless vendors working to provide for their families here in LA.
00:00 - On Friday, we went to Watts to help kick off voting for LA's first-ever participatory budgeting initiative, which gives historically marginalized communities the power to directly decide what funding and programs their neighborhoods need from the city. Check it out! ⬇️⬇️
00:00 - This International Women's Day, we want to uplift the amazing women on our staff. We're so proud to have an office led by women - including as our Chief of Staff, District Director, Planning Director, Legislative Director, Operations Director, all of our Field Deputies and more!
- What an honor to kick off LGBT History Month at The Black Cat by unveiling the State of California’s FIRST Historical Landmark honoring LGBTQ+ history. (1/2)
