    What an amazing feeling when somebody you have known to be homeless in the city centre for ten years plus approaches you today looking like a new person who now is housed and working and is going on his first trip abroad next week #amazing #there is support out there

    It's one of the best parts of the job, when an ex offender comes up to you and proudly says they've finally turned their life around. Support is always available. Michael, you should feel proud as its a difficult journey and well done on the new job!

    ARRESTED - we have arrested a male for possession of a firearm on Broad Street. The male ran from officers and discarded the firearm which we then found using a CCTV trawl. Great work by all the officers on team 5!

    #ARRESTED - we have just arrested two young males who punched and snatched a mobile phone from a lady. The youths fled into some waste ground, but with the help from @WMPDogs we detained them and recovered the phone on one of the youths! Great work! 😁

    #OpTriton Officers have been using a vehicle checkpoint in Birmingham City Centre, looking for drivers using phones, not having the correct documents, displaying number plates incorrectly and more. This is part of a crackdown to tackle crime on the roads, making them safer 26725

    Yesterday the City Centre teams dealt with a male threatening to jump off a carpark and were shocked to hear people shouting 'Jump'. This behaviour WILL NOT be tolerated. It is an offence and you will be arrested. Have compassion for those in need of help. @WMPolice @bsmhft

    Great work by PD Olaf who found this knife and helped CCT4 cops detain the suspect who discarded it in bushes in the Eastside Park area of Bham @WMPDogs

    We had a surprise visit by a police puppy in training Casper with his walker PC 21756 NEILSON. As you can see he was very popular and loved the attention. We are a great supporter of police dogs and the hard work done by @WMPDogs they are incredible. Good luck Casper @WMPolice

    ARRESTED - we have arrested a male on digbeth high street carrying a knife in full view of the public! The male threw the knife into a local river and ran from officers.. however it was literally fished out using police tape and a magnet!
