    #ItsASin thread:1/x Before we knew that a virus was causing the mystery illness that seemed to only affected gay men it was referred to as a cancer.Then it was called Gay Related Immune Deficiency (GRID).Now we know it's a virus-HIV- & can affect anyone- regardless of sexuality.

    We're sad to hear of the passing of Timothy Ray Brown. He may be better known to some of you as "The Berlin Patient" or the first person cured of HIV. We appreciate his generosity and advocacy on behalf of all people with HIV. May he rest in peace.

    We are disappointed that @TheSun chose this sensationalist headline, detracting from the article. There is NO RISK of passing #HIV on if suppressed on treatment #UEqualsU. We are glad this article highlights how being HIV+ve is no barrier to having full happy loving relationships
