Personal news: I’m leaving The Billings Gazette/406 MT Sports (on my own terms). My last day will be March 1.
It’s been a wonderful ride in journalism since I started as a freelancer 11 years ago, but it’s time for a shift away.
On this day two years ago, I tried killing myself. I’ve never been more happy to fail at anything in my life.
Thankful to the many good people that have made my life priceless and worth living as I’ve never been better.
It’s OK not to be OK. And if you’re not, my DMs are open.
NEWS: I'll be employed!
Thrilled to be joining the staff at @oilcitywyo next month, an independent and locally-owned news site covering the state of Wyoming. I'll be based in Cheyenne as a GA reporter being part of the site's expansion across the state.
Let's get started.
Hey! I’ve got personal news.
I’m going to be interning for the @KCStar this summer. Thrilled to join @jeff_rosen88 and Co. in the Paris of the Plains.
Fortunate and thankful to the countless mentors and editors who’ve guided me over the past seven years.
Let’s get started.
Complete transcript of #SportingKC coach Peter Vermes' (who was watching from home due to MLS Safety Protocols) view on the Johnny Russell penalty kick that was taken back due to VAR. Even through a Zoom call, you could tell he was livid. #SKCvSJ
Personal news! I'm returning to the sports reporting world that I love.
Thrilled to announce that I'm going to be a sports reporter at the @billingsgazette + @406mtsports covering mainly preps, MSU-Billings and Rocky Mountain College.
First day is 9/27. Let's get started.
TW: Suicide, depression
It’s been three years this month since I attempted suicide and wanted to cease to exist. I’ve never been so happy to fail at something.
I often turn back to @HooplaHill telling my mental health story to remind myself of my gratefulness to be alive. (1/x)
