- Replying to @josephpmbrtnAgreed. Family counselor. When I counsel divorcing parents who will do ANYTHING to help the kids through this, I suggest one thing. The kids stay in the house. The PARENTS MOVE IN AND OUT EVERY WEEK. Guess how often they agree with THAT? Yeah, zero in 25 yrs.
