- So heartbroken for all our FSU friends. It was 18 years ago, following the Virginia Tech massacre, the flame atop FSU’s "Unconquered" statue was graciously lit as a sign of solidarity with all Hokies. It marked the first time ever the flame had been lit for a non-FSU event.
