    For 30 years this issue has been put in the too hard basket! In Brimbank in my electorate unemployment is second highest in the state and a staggering $500,000 is lost everyday on poker machines. Mandatory precommitment works. This Andrews Labor Govt reform will change lives!

    Premier Daniel Andrews announcing pokies reforms including mandatory carded play, capping load up limits at $100, as well as slowing spin speeds. By mid 2024, there will be mandatory closure periods between 4am and 10am. #springst

    To help stop the spread of coronavirus, late night public transport will not run on Fri & Sat nights while the curfew is in place. If you can stay at home, you should stay at home. If you are leaving home for 1 of the 5 permitted reasons, a mask must be worn.

    You might notice some extra information on Google Maps. That’s because we’ve integrated RideSpace data into it, which means you can track your train as it approaches and see how busy it is before you board. This will give everyone more confidence to travel on public transport.

    Devastated to learn of the death of Simon Crean. From my earliest days in the Labor Party I gravitated toward him & he was always generous with his time, in part because I was a fellow paid up & proud member of @NMFCOfficial where he was our long-standing number 1 ticket holder.

    If you can do your job from home, you should have the right to. The Allan Labor Government will protect the right to work from home in legislation – making it easier for families to juggle life and work. It’s the right thing to do.

    Just wanted to let you all know that having been in isolation since Saturday when my daughter tested positive, I have now tested positive for COVID as well. Fortunately, my daughter is doing well & I’m managing my symptoms. Shout out to friends who have been dropping things off!

    I couldn't work from home today - so I grabbed my helmet, masked up and cycled into the office early this morning. Cycling is a fantastic way to commute - taking cars off our roads, helping the environment and improving our personal health too. #springst
