- Every day, over one million students in Virginia get to school on a school bus. When charter schools do not offer transportation to their schools, this is yet another divide in a system that should offer each child an equal opportunity. @SenLouiseLucas
- 1/2 Setting up a tip line for citizen complaints against teachers is demonizing the professionals who are dedicated to educating our children. This is not a fix - it is a tactic to threaten teachers and make them quit. This Education Governor is undermining public education.
- We won't stand for @GovernorVA's proposal to usurp the wishes of Loudoun voters by requiring School Board members to shorten their terms. This kind of havoc is yet another attempt to undermine public schools. I stand with the #LCPS and others. RT if you care about local control!
- Today is our VETO session. I am so proud that the @VASenateDems were a brick wall when it came to defeating a bad amendment from @GovernorVA that would have forced Loudoun County school board members to end their elected terms early. We will not break trust with the voters.
- Yesterday, on #InternationalWomensDay, @GovernorVA vetoed my bill to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers. In doing so, he turned his back on victims and sided with the NRA and extremists instead. The women of Virginia deserve better.
- 37% of Virginia students rely on the USDA Free and Reduced Lunch program: when charter schools do not participate in that program, charter schools become inaccessible to too many students. @pwcdanica

GIF - .@GovernorVA vetoed my bill w/ @marcussimon protecting doctors + patients from extradition for abortions performed legally in Virginia. We're the only Southern state w/out any post-Roe abortion restrictions. Our providers must be able to do their jobs w/out fear of prosecution.
