Have dropped 10 lbs in 2 weeks by adding a 20 lb weighted vest to my weekly walks. I was skeptical the calorie burn would be that much more significant. Apparently I was wrong.

My client Shelly Stettner is getting ready to be 74. She just hit a 335 lb beltless Deadlift PR today. Being fragile is a choice.

Biggest pet peeve is when lifters engage in ridiculous hyperbole about the difficulty of lifting weights. Yes, some of it’s hard. Kinda. Violence and chaos? No. It’s a chest press machine. The hardest set in the world is not even comparable to a semi hard set of

Time under tension is not a serious way to build muscle. If your set takes 90 seconds, you're not training. You're doing interpretive dance with weights. Give me 15 seconds of violence and chaos.

If someone is considering back surgery can I first suggest you go into a gym and Deadlift a 25 lbs kettlebell for 3x5. Add 5 lbs twice per week for 12 weeks. My guess is roughly 80-90% of you would at least reconsider surgery.

My 85 year old client Bill hammering out his Deadlifts at 6:30am. According to Physical Therapy Mafia on X, his back should be broken, but instead he just has stronger legs, hips, back, grip and confidence.

My 73 y/o client Frank crushing an easy 450 pull at his meet this weekend. First meet in 6 years. Franks a 500+ deadlifter but with a lot of travel this year, we’re happy with a smooth 450.
