The comment about Karol and wanting players who want to fight for the Crown is a major culture shift. Karol should have been gone in the summer. Keeping players who take DP spots for 9th place finishes when they have other ambitions is a losing mentality. BIG statement by DS.

Charlotte FC has to move a DP to sign Petkovic to a first team deal. His transfer fee requires a U22 Initiative contract. If Charlotte plans to sign him as well I would expect a DP to be moved.

This is about as good a start to the season as one could ask for given the transfer window moves haven't been completed and the difficult stretch of games to start the year. Dean has started his tenure proving he can get results.

We have a CB at RB, a LB at CB, a LW at CAM, and a CF at RW. This is the results of the front office opting to be patient during the transfer window. Lattanzio is going to keep falling on his sword but you gotta sign and keep up with the league I would say that is clear

Estimated $9.5m rejected. Charlotte seems keen on him. The player seems interested in the move. Based on $$ and position, this is likely their top transfer target. If they can nab their top target after getting their top coaching candidate, that would be a big start to the year.

It can't be overlooked how quickly Dean is acknowledging the drop off in the 2nd half. Only 3 games in and he's already acknowledging that it's something to look at. That is resounding amounts of humility in the early stages when in only 3 games there is lots of variability.

I really respect this response from the captain. He acknowledges the magnitude of the moment for a young player making his first start and calls for the regulars to own up and take responsibility for how his moment went. Lots of character in this response.
