A lot of people seem to think "but but you're an immigrant, so YOU CAN'T CRITICIZE IMMIGRATION!"
This is wrong. Here's the uncomfortable truth:
Not all immigrants, or situations that they're immigrating to, are the same.
Let me explain 👇
An Indians bread and butter
Can’t tell you the number of times I’ll do a sale, show up expecting the agreed upon price, and an Indian is like “oh oops I’m missing $20 it’s ok right”
All the money and AI tools in the world and bro still puts together one of the worst personal statements I’ve ever seen. It’s basically “I wanna give college a go and learn from humans”. What.
Imagine not being rich and it just cost you a week’s budget of food to apply for a job
And then after however long later, you only get back a fraction of it. That is, if they even get back to you.
Do people not think for 5 seconds before posting dumb takes?
This is just like dating.
You have a 3/10 overweight woman asking “I NEED A 6’6”+ $1M TC man” and surprised when they can’t find it.
My question is this: let’s say this person exists. What do you uniquely offer that they can’t get elsewhere/at their current arrangement? 🫢
If you want talent, and the "talent" is actually talented, then there is still the O1 route. 97% approval rate. Plenty of room for fraud: fake scientific publications, fake press coverage, etc. But nonetheless, there are still plenty of routes for the actually talented.
This whole discourse is a matter of some 20-30s without kids going back and forth with 40-50s with kids, talking about what’s better for them and tryna generalize it.
