Happy farthest we’ve ever been from the earth day! A bit over 1/2 hr ago the @NASAArtemis 2 mission took @NASAAstronauts further away from our home planet than humans have EVER been. The vehicle is doing great and the flight #test continues to give @NASA insight for planning

Under 10 minutes from the launch window opening. I’m always amazed by the amount of work that happens for so many small details whether @NASAKennedy range clearing or @NASAArtemis monitoring vehicle battery state. Space is still hard and hence the #test approach. This is a flight

When people ask @NASA_Astronauts why we love our jobs, going to space & @Space_Station is 1 reason…but another reason is the variety of things we see in our daily training to further the multiple human spaceflight efforts we are testing as @NASAArtemis pushes beyond low earth
