Inspired by the discussion @NASA Astronaut @Astro_Raja held with @BrownUniversity Planetary Education and Outreach Center students working at the cutting edge of planetary science.
The sky’s the limit! I cannot wait to see where they explore and what they discover next.🛰️🌌
NASA Astronaut Class XXII
- Raja Chari reposted💫Students are shooting for the stars at Ella Risk Elementary! Brought @NASA Astronaut @Astro_Raja to meet Central Falls students, answer questions, and share about his experience spending 177 days orbiting Earth! 🛰️🌍 @CFSchoolsRI
- Thanks @RepGabeAmo for helping @nasa inspire the next generation of @NASAArtemis explorers in Rhode IslandIt was out-of-this-world to hear @NASA Astronaut @Astro_Raja share stories from his 177 day journey through space! Grateful to Raja for sharing his expertise, experience, and passion with students at Henry Winters Elementary in Pawtucket.
- Happy farthest we’ve ever been from the earth day! A bit over 1/2 hr ago the @NASAArtemis 2 mission took @NASAAstronauts further away from our home planet than humans have EVER been. The vehicle is doing great and the flight #test continues to give @NASA insight for planning
- Time to go to work. Rendezvous and prox ops (RPO) demo on deck for @NASAArtemis
- Under 10 minutes from the launch window opening. I’m always amazed by the amount of work that happens for so many small details whether @NASAKennedy range clearing or @NASAArtemis monitoring vehicle battery state. Space is still hard and hence the #test approach. This is a flight
- All aboard, have my virtual boarding pass and ready for live coverage on @NASA tv starting tomorrow AM for a 1824 ET launch window opening. It’s the 2d @NASAArtemis mission but the 1st with humans and just the start of more to come. Let’s GO A2
- Weather’s still looking good so still on track for a 515 ET launch for #Crew12 from @NASAKennedy Live coverage starts in a little over 3 hrs on @NASA TV
- Exciting day as @NASA announced the 2025 Astronaut class. Great timing since @NASAArtemis is continuing to get us closer to the moon. Special welcome to my fellow @usairforce members Cameron Jones and Adam Fuhrmann. All about them and the class at nasa.gov
- When people ask @NASA_Astronauts why we love our jobs, going to space & @Space_Station is 1 reason…but another reason is the variety of things we see in our daily training to further the multiple human spaceflight efforts we are testing as @NASAArtemis pushes beyond low earth
- Honored to throw out the 1st pitch @fenwaypark on behalf of @iss and honoring Indian Appreciation night. As a #RedSox fan & knowing many @NASAAstronauts have done research or collaborations in #Boston it’s a fitting place for the #ISSRDC
00:00 - "We're looking at things that will help us get to Mars and the moon and sustain ourselves, but they have direct benefits here on Earth." @NASA Astronaut and U.S. Air Force Brigadier General @Astro_Raja on the knowledge he's brought back from space. @TomCaron | #RedSox
