    Aaron Swartz set up a computer to download academic articles from JSTOR b/c he believed knowledge should be freely available to poor/working class people, not held for ransom. The state hounded & tried to put him in a cage for this until Aaron died by suicide. #NeverForget

    Remember this next time you see cops asking for help identifying someone. When cops murder someone, they're the first ones to hide each other's identities, & they know that prosecutors, politicians, mainstream media, & the courts will help them too.

    To recap: NYPD arrested 12 people (at least 2 of whom live in homeless shelters & 1 of whom is a 64-year-old woman) over allegedly $1,800 of necessities. 1 misdemeanor arrest costs NYC at least $1750. So NYPD spent at least $21,000 to arrest poor people over $1,800 of stuff.
