In 2022 we trialled traffic-reduction measures on & around Murray Street/Camden Square. The results are in! - Motor traffic on local streets AND main roads are down 54% & 17% respectively - Cycling is up 11% on local streets - NO2 levels are down at all 7 monitoring sites

Up to 40,000 people visit Camden High St at the same time 😯 We're proposing a trial to pedestrianise the high street by Camden Town station 😃 We want to give more space to people 🤸🏽🚶🏻 & support local business & the community👭 Have your say: consultations.wearecamden.org/supporting-com…

Fantastic turnout for the launch of the campaign to re-elect @Keir_Starmer as MP for Holborn and St Pancras. "This next election could change the face of the country for good."

Looks boring but this is the front sheet of a decision we took as @CamdenCouncil's Cabinet tonight. It instates cycle lanes both east and west along Tavistock Place, a key and growing route for #cycling in central London 1/2

Gotta love how the Times literally ran a campaign to clean up our polluted air – but then expresses its "fears" about ... measures to clean up our polluted air 🤔
Screenshot of a news story with the headline Drivers must pay £690 to park outside own homes in plan to cut pollution and then the words Fears that other local authorities will follow suit

Euston Rd has long been terrible & congested The new lanes are the only good thing TfL has done for it in decades They are not perfect but should be the start of a proper rejuvenation I am calling on @SadiqKhan @Heidi_LDN @willnorman to retain & improve them #SaveEustonRoad
NEW: Euston Road bike lane will be removed, @TfL commissioner Andy Byford tells @LondonAssembly It was introduced to encourage cycling in the post-Covid recovery period but has been blamed for road congestion. Mr Byford says there is an "adjacent bike lane" that can be used.

We've made another 5 Healthy School Streets permanent! Trials at Argyle, Ecole Jeannine Manuel, Brookfield, Christopher Hatton & Kentish Town schools overall saw reduced traffic & better air quality We also widened pavements, put in 2-way cycling, new cycle parking at 3 schools

🚲 This wk @CamdenCouncil gave the go ahead to keep eastbound direction of traffic on Tavistock Pl– but also to upgrade the cycle lanes to stepped tracks, widen pavements & improve Byng Place. A big step forward! You can see the plans as consulted on here camden.gov.uk/torrington-tav…

Fantastic to win the Excellence in Cycling and Walking award at the #LondonTransportAwards. Tx to all the members of the @CamdenCouncil and @TfL teams who worked on the Judd Street-Midland Road cycle link – providing safer cycling across Euston Rd and low traffic in Bloomsbury

Took a walk around the newly low-traffic Seven Dials, Covent Garden, earlier. 🚶‍♂️ It was great to see people relaxing and walking freely at the sundial in particular. ☀️ Spoke to a retailer who was glad of the reduced pollution+greater space given over to people🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️ #SafeTravel
