Lead poisoning is the most widespread environmental health threat to children worldwide, affecting more than 800 million — far more than malnutrition, infectious disease, or conflict. No other single hazard impairs so many children, so silently, and so irreversibly.
Honored to join Bhutan's Prime Minister @tsheringtobgay at today’s #UNGA event on lead exposure prevention.
For 50 years, @UNICEF and Bhutan have partnered to protect children's health and futures.
Together we can create a safer, more sustainable world.
