    Got a text from Sufian, Director of Teaching School, coyly asking for a new CLT jacket. Eventually tells me his dad needs a bright new coat to walk to the Mosque in. He spent today unsuccessfully shopping, but loved the one hanging in Sufian’s house! Enjoy it Mr Sadiq snr on us!

    An honour to visit @ChallneyBoys on this special day. Huge congrats to Daniel Connor, the inspirational Headteacher. Daniel announced his retirement today. His life’s work for Beds pupils is phenomenal. A true gentleman, colleague & friend. Don’t worry I’ll keep him busy in Jan!

    As we enter GCSE results day, huge thanks to all secondary staff for getting us here & good luck to all Year 11 students. Please remember folks, the last time these students had a non Covid full year, they were YEAR 8! Today is about smiles, praise and reassurance. @ChilternLT

    Nine years ago I left a job & school I loved to come & be CEO @DenbighHigh @ChilternLT . I couldn’t be prouder to be based at this wonderful school. Over the last 20 years, this school has continued to transform a community and it defines excellence in all it does. #worldclass

    So so proud of Teresa Kelly our finance director & @ChilternLT founder. Her courage over the last 18 months has inspired us all. She has never moaned, always smiled & still nagged me daily. Today, she received UK Trust finance team of year award & her 1st grandchild arrived 👏❤️

    In the last few days, I’ve interviewed & helped appoint 4 fab & positive Heads to @ChilternLT - they, AND the other excellent applicants reaffirmed my faith & positivity in the future of education with their vision & drive. There is so much negativity at the moment. This helped!

    So 8 years ago the bid for @ChilternA free school was written. 5 years ago 210 pupils & parents trusted us! Today, they collect their first ever GCSE results & here’s the first ever student! The results are ASTOUNDING. Thank you parents & pupils for such trust! Staff - fantastic

    So before my next tweet, @CHSGheadteacher joined @Challney_Girls as Head 7 years ago, just as they joined @ChilternLT . She’s moved a treble RI school to Outstanding & ‘world class’, results from floor targets to perhaps best in region. An inspirational leader, NLE & friend 🙏👏
