Our WWII Airborne forefathers jumped into Europe to defeat Nazism. We know who we are. We know our legacy.- (1/3) We are saddened to announce the passing of Ret. 1st Sgt. Harold Eatman at age 102 yesterday afternoon. An original member of the 505th PIR, Harold was among less than 16 living Americans who made all four WW2 combat jumps (Sicily, Salerno, Normandy, Holland) with the 82nd
- Early this morning more than 650 All American Paratroopers and equipment began their deployment to the @CENTCOM area of operations. This is why we exist. Your @Strike_Hold Paratroopers have trained and prepared for events like these. @OIRSpox, they are on the way.
- "I'm the 82nd Airborne and this is as far as the bastards are going." In the Battle of the Bulge, the 82nd was in the midst of their harshest day of ground combat. In the face of adversity, they prevailed with unwavering courage and determination. Today we salute these heroes.
- Today @Strike_Hold began deploying the remainder of the brigade. We could not be more proud and look fwd to their safe return.

- It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of PFC Matthew Perez, a Paratrooper assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, from injuries sustained during training at the Joint Readiness Training Center on Sept. 13, 2024.

- Today we buried David Rosenkrantz, a WWII Paratrooper killed in Netherlands. David was missing for 74 years b/f his remains were ID'ed this year. His Family was presented w/ his WWII awards (Purple Heart, Bronze Star, combat jump wings) at Riverside national Cemetery, California.
