FAQs
Veecle OS is available under a permissive open-source license. You can run it, modify it, and deploy it on your own hardware without using Veecle Studio. It gives you the core runtime without the hosted tooling, AI, CI, and workspace environment.
Veecle Studio is the cloud environment. It provides virtual workspaces, CI/CD, simulation, deployment, and integration with AI co-pilots. No local setup required. No tooling licenses required. This is the default experience for most users and teams.
Model and simulate entire system architectures.
Build and flash embedded apps via CI/CD.
Use AI-assisted development and system validation.
Collaborate with your team
Integrate existing C-projects
Veecle Studio is not required to use VeecleOS — but it dramatically speeds up development and scales with your engineering team.
We believe that customers should never feel trapped. That’s why we set up Veecle to be as open as possible.
Code-first workflow: The studio commits all architecture, configuration, and generated files into your Git repo (JSON, TOML, generated Rust code). You own your source, always.
Project export: You can export all project config (architecture, hardware, services) into a single JSON blob at any time.
Fallback build: The open-source VeecleOS can compile Studio-generated projects even without an active subscription. (Advanced changes might be harder to make manually, but the system remains open.)
Every user needs an authenticated account (Google, GitHub).
API tokens are required to access DevStudio services (CI/CD, AI, flashing).
Seat-based billing ensures fair usage. One developer=One seat.
Shared usage under a single login is technically blocked and contractually forbidden.
Enterprise fulfills the needs of teams with regulatory, security, or air-gap needs:
Full on-premise deployment of Veecle DevStudio is available.
Enterprise includes support, tooling integration, and roadmap access.
Licensing is not per-seat but negotiated based on use case and support level.
The optional buyout model gives you perpetual local use without dependency on our servers.
The cloud version requires an internet connection.
For regulated or air-gapped environments, the Enterprise plan supports a full on-premise deployment of Veecle Studio and CI/CD runners, including the AI co-pilot (via model endpoints you control).
Updates are rolled out continuously. Your code and project definitions remain stable because they are stored directly in your repository in open formats. Updates improve tooling, performance, and available integrations without requiring changes to your application code.
Yes. Your source code, generated artifacts, and build outputs stay in a dedicated, unique and isolated Amazon AWS instance that only your account has access to. Same is true for Git repositories you link to. CI/CD pipelines run on isolated build containers. No proprietary logic or state is locked inside the platform.
