Debug #14 launches 14 March 2026
Mark your calendars. Debug #14 officially lands on 14 March 2026, and it arrives like a blanket on a cold day with one of our most enchanting cover features to date.
Leading the charge is Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth, with Vince Pavey diving deep into the heart of Hyper Games’ latest adventure. It is a thoughtful, richly detailed exploration of tone, ambition and the careful craft behind bringing Tove Jansson’s beloved world into interactive form once again.
From there, The Hub delivers its regular pulse check on the indie scene, covering what we have been playing, fresh news and a look at physical releases worth clearing shelf space for. Indievelopment returns in force, spanning everything from bold reimaginings such as Bubsy 4D to striking new concerns like Helix: Descent N Ascent, Mayhem Brawler 2 and the wonderfully yet infuriatingly titled Reggie, His Cousin, Two Scientists and Most Likely the End of the World. Expect Q&A insight, artwork spotlights and an ever expanding Hype Machine highlighting the future projects you need firmly on your radar.
Marc Jowett’s Retro World offers a welcome look backwards, while our second major feature focuses on Please, Touch the Artwork, continuing our fascination with games that blur the line between play and gallery space. Ten of the Best celebrates creativity in its purest form, spotlighting games built around a single brilliant mechanic.
Reviews span the inventive chaos of Mewgenics, the stark climb of Cairn, tactical tensions in Into the Grid and much more, alongside a packed Also Released section ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Add in ICYMI, Free Play gems, a new Dev Diary, sharp industry columns and of course Debug Dog of the Month, and it is fair to say #14 stands as a vibrant snapshot of where indie gaming is right now.
Physical copies begin shipping no later than 20th March. Winter may be nearly over, but Debug is just getting started for the year.
