When is the Walmart Deals Event?

Walmart’s competing Prime Day sale will be live before Amazon’s anticipated event. The sale starts on June 22 in stores and online at 6 a.m. local time, and ends on June 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET, giving shoppers one week to take advantage of impressive rollbacks. But, W+ members gain early access to the deals at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22.

What Are Walmart Deals?

Walmart Deals is a weeklong savings event that features markdowns of up to 50% across all categories, including fashion, beauty, home decor, electronics, toys, and more. The retailer is launching the deals event before other competing sales, such as Amazon’s Prime Day, which takes place from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26. Like we mentioned above, Walmart Deals takes place from June 22 to June 28, so mark your calendars!

Do You Need a Walmart+ Membership to Shop During Walmart Deals?

Unlike Amazon’s sale, you do not need a Walmart+ membership to shop the sale. It’s open to the public; however, joining offers many perks, such as early access to Walmart’s summer sale.

“As part of this year’s event, eligible* Walmart+ members will enjoy Early Access to an online-only curated assortment of high-demand hot Deal drop items in the first 24 hours of the event, while supplies last,” Walmart said. “This special member benefit allows Walmart+ members to shop for some of our hottest deals before they become available to all customers.”

In addition to the sale, members get free delivery on groceries and more (over $35), free next-day and two-day shipping from Walmart.com, savings on gas, video streaming choice, pharmacy savings, and more. To join, head to Walmart’s membership page and start with a 30-day trial for $1.
